Doing some ... ehh, I guess it really is more like restoration on my truck and now that I have the bed off I want to clean up and do some rust-proofing/preventing on the frame. My question is what to do with the parts where there are two sections sandwiched together. The sections are'nt welded, more like very large rivets. There's no seam sealer, so it's not actually sealed off from the elements, although the spot in mind is pretty protected from the elements. There's some surface rust at the very top but the main part is fine. Just wondering if I can spray or brush something on the top and let gravity and capillary action pull the stuff through to give some protection. Something like Fluid Film.
