So after replacing the head gaskets on the truck there is still a coolant leak. Not sure if I misdiagnosed it with the head gaskets or fixed gaskets put pressure elsewhere, but it looks like I have a leak at a freeze plug.

It seems there are lots of opinions on what materials to use and how to instal them. What is GRM's opinion. Brass or steel plugs? Deep or shallow plugs? With or without RTV?

Thanks!

I prefer brass plugs. And no RTV. How deep? Match thickness/depth of hole perhaps?
