Yeah, my favorite charity (GRM's own Dnipro Express) has 100% collected going directly to those they serve. Which really just means they (namely Hungary Bill and VikkiDp) are donating a bunch extra on their side of it to make sure that can happen. Subsequently, the donors like me have also been having to donate that little bit extra in the form of fees to make sure that happens too. It sucks, but sometimes that's just the nature of the beast.

I would expect that fees and costs will go up, as usually happens after a buy out. I'm sure he sees the company as a profit cow, or he wouldn't have purchased it.

What we don't know is how many jump ship.
There's "we're not going to fire anybody (but we'll make them miserable so they quit)"
There's "cleaning house, new sheriff in town."
And there's "I see a growth opportunity and I bribed everybody to stay"

We don't know which is happening.

It's almost always some combination of the three, in varying proportions.

Based on the other thread where we calculate our cost per session or lap to enjoy this sport, I can see why this would be an attractive market to invest in. Your customers are high commitment/high cash flow by definition.

I just noticed that the same group owns SVRA. if what my good friend who races with them says about costs vs. track time is correct, this MotorsportsReg transition may not go great for us.

Msreg needs competition. I'd happily use literally anything else including strapping dollar bills to carrier pigeons, etc.

A couple of the clubs around me use trackrabbit. I think its a better UI, but not nearly as many events.

Trackrabbit has been lobbying me hard to run my events through there, practically since they were founded.

I won't say it's a good or bad system, because I never tried it, but MSR just has an exponentially larger customer base and reach.

SVRA does a good job but the vintage sessions seem second fiddle to Trans-Am.

I don't mean that as a dig; anytime you are running with a professional series they get top bills g because they pay the bills.
