My 03 7.3 crew cab 4x4 has a strange vibration. Around 70 mph it will develop a drone. Then closer to 80 it is a more noticeable vibration. You can feel the drone through your feet. At times it only happens during acceleration and others during deceleration. But not both. When it's droning, you can't feel it through the steering wheel.

Try rotating the tires and see if it moves to the back or goes away. My Colorado gets weird feeling on occasion. A tire rotation usually solves it.

When this happened to my Silverado it was a wheel bearing and ball joint making sweet harmonic resonant love to each other. I'm happy it was the wheel bearing that came first.

I would start with having the tires checked but it sounds like the driveshaft carrier bearing might be on it's way out.

I've done the u joints. Unfortunately, I'm thinking bearings. I asked the tech who did the u joints to do the bearings and seals while he was there. He did the seals but not the bearings. Figures.
