I learned the hard way that their 3-day racing school is only good for five years. Once those five years are up, it is not possible to use that as a prerequisite to their other courses, such as lapping, practice, or for their racing series - you have to take the 3-day school again, at a cost of $4000. Also, it is impossible to find out about that 5-year limit from either their web site or when signing up for the racing school in the first place.

To me this seems like a deceptive marketing practice, and not at all a good way to do business. Has anyone else on this board had similar troubles?

I think a resume that includes plenty of recent track experience should suffice, but if it's been five years since you've been on track, that's different.

Believe me, if I had an SCCA or NASA, etc. license, I would definitely use that as a prerequisite, but the only thing to do now is to start the whole process over again.

Tyler: nice MR2. I had a 1992 MR2-T a couple of years ago, and a '91 N/A before that.

If you just want to get out on the track, why not just sign up for a NASA HPDE event?

You can start at HPDE-1. It's cheap, fun and simple.

With a few HPDEs under your belt, "Bob's your uncle"!

Skip Barber has better track selection, including Laguna Seca.
