I am slowly gathering up all the pieces I need to do a complete suspension rebuild on my Civic but I am stumped on the mounting options for a rear swaybar.
Original I was going to get an Integra Type-R rear bar but this requires Integra LCAs. I am planning on using HardRace upper control arms and if I understand the Street Prepared rules right I can not replace both the upper and lower arms. Does anyone know if the Del Sol has the same LCAs as an Integra? I know Del Sols came with a rear swaybar and since the Del Sols are listed on the same line as my Civic I should be able to update and backdate these parts correct?
I am also wondering about reinforcing the mounts. I have seen in multiple places people saying that the rear subframe won't stand up to anything larger then a 13mm bar. ASR has a nice kit but I don't believe it would be legal. Does anyone know of a FSP legal way to reinforce the subframe?

I think the Del Sol VTECs had one. To check, look at Majestic Hondas parts page to see the OEM parts diagrams, or check car-part.com

The Del Sol VTECs did have one.
So from what I am seeing I could use the Del Sol rear arms but not the Integras?
If it's the VTEC version only then you are SOL. The VTEC is in DSP so not on the same line unfortunately.
It is a different part number for drum and disc rear brakes and pardon my fuzzy honda product line knowledge but I think only the VTEC got discs.

I completely forgot the VTEC was DOHC but looks like the Del Sol Si also got them. Part numbers are 52350-SH3-A12 and 52360-SH3-A12.
So I need to find Del Sol Si being parted to get the rear lower control arms.
Edit: Actually according to Majestic Honda the 96 Del Sol Si uses the same rear control arms as a GSR. 52350-SH3-G31 and 52360-SH3-G31. So I should be able to grab any ABS equipped Teggy rear lower control arm. I am assuming that the arm from an ABS car would fit a non-ABS car.

Arent the beaks subframe reinforcement legal?
https://www.jhpusa.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=1539
Should be safe on an EG/DC chassis car with a 22mm ITR sway bar
EDIT: I read somewhere as long as you run stiff rear rates, you shouldn't have issues with the subframe tearing?
http://www.hondapartsnow.com/parts-list/1995-honda-del_sol-2dr_v-tec-ka-5mt/rear-lower-arm.html For the SI VTEC
Looks like the part numbers are different as the Vtec P/N are 52350-SH3-G21 and 52360-SH3-G21
For the reinforcement, I don't see an issue as they call out in 15.7 that bushing material, method of attachment, and locating points are unrestricted. I ran a a totally custom rear sway bar setup in my FSP car and the national guys blessed it with no issues. You just can't cut and remove weight from the factory subframe.

Stiff rear spring rates would reduce load on the rear sway bar, so that makes sense.

According to Majestic and acuraoemparts.com the '96 Del Sol Si and any ABS equipped Integra use the same rear lower control arms, 52350-SH3-G31 and 52360-SH3-G31. I am assuming under updating/backdating rules I could grab any of this part number control arm and use them.
I think the ASR is illegal. This is what Andy Holis said.
The STAC discussed this earlier this year and considered them illegal. For the piece to qualify as a strut bar, it can only provide lateral stiffness in one dimension (lateral). These plates also provide significant torsional rigidity (and Lord knows that flimsy lower crossmember needs it!) which is not allowed.
I think the Beaks reinforcement kit is ok under the rules.
