i need to install a 2004 ford escape fuel pump and sender into my alfa romeo spider tank..it will fit...but.... i need to weld in a bew mount for the ford fuel pump.. i have the sheet metal now... cut it out of a 2004 escape fuel tank.. the tank ie cleaned.... should i just tack weld the new sheet metal/ ford escape fuel pump mount in , then just solder/ lead the remaining gaps up? to seal it from leaking. or full weld?
