I received a turbo xs dtec (uninstalled/unknown condition) and Gameboy with a car I purchased from a fellow forum member here. I had it listed for sale online and said I didn't know what kind of condition it was in, hadn't personally used it, and was accepting offers. I received an offer of $420 for it. I accepted the offer and sold it. Does anyone have any clue what these are worth? They seem kind of rare but of course that doesn't mean valuable.

I know, right? It's some kind of boost controller/ multiple gauges from what I can tell. The only price I could find was about $550 when they were new. I don't think they have been new for quite some time.
There is a following because of the retro/cool thing. Ultimately the DTEC-BC was a perfectly adequate boost controller, the DTEC-FC was a for the time perfectly adequate piggyback fuel controller (think SAFC that was actually super or a less confusing Emanage)
Wouldnt seek one out today unless it was really cheap and they are not.
There was an Italian motorcycle manufacturer that made a few models with ECUs that were tuned by plugging in a Game Boy as well.
I wouldn't expect this to ever be worth much more than any comparable boost controller from the same era.
That thing is so cool. I'm sure it's the curiosity that makes it worth anything and like any "collectible," really valuing it is tough without comparable sales. I'd say it's worth whatever someone will pay and until proven otherwise you did really well at that price.
I do know if I had a cool radwood type ride then I'd want to have one of these in it! Too new for the 90s but I think it would pass.
