This will be less of a build thread than a re-freshening of my '87 626 sedan turbo. Plans are:

-Re-gasket the engine and spiff it up

-Clean up engine compartment

-Fix a few rust spots around the body

-Replace carpet, steering rack, brakes, struts, sway bars, control arm bushings, fuel sender, broken tail light, broken mirror, window trim, a couple window regulators, weatherstrip...list keeps going.

-Wire up my Hello fog-light grill accessory

-Maybe tint windows

-And paint, eventually

Slow going, but here's where I'm at with the engine:

I'm not rebuilding, because the cylinders look perfect and have zero step at the tops. I'm just re-gasketing everything and putting it back in the car. One nice thing I realized in tearing the motor down is that the turbos on these are water-cooled. I had always been under the impression that they were oil-only for some reason.
