German Touring Cars

I'm finally sitting down to watch the German Touring cars @ Hockenheim and they really have some interesting aero.

I guess it's the threads on aero that made me look.

They vent the front fenders only on the add on fender flares.

They have the most interesting array of spoilers on the rear fenders. I don't remember there being that many last year. It seems like most have at least 4.

Hmmm, they say these cars will be going the way of Nascar and will all be using the same chassis in a year or 2. Can't say Iike that.

I like watching stock cars race. Even tho they have things like sequential transmissions that you can't get.

Those crazy Brits in the British Touring cars are so much more entertaining than the Germans. They took one car out with a collision on the warm up lap.

And then there was punting the leader into the gravel trap and the various and assorted cars leaving the track in the air.

I'm glad BMW will be back in it next year. I believe the DTM is the premier touring car series even if it does go to common chassis. Although IMHO the BTCC is alot more fun to watch.
