I'm working a deal on a small open trailer that's in the Indianapolis area...I'll be in Atlanta in two weeks. Any chance of anyone heading between Indy and ATL in the next two weeks that could tow a very small lightweight trailer. Trailer weighs less than 500lbs. and could be towed behind just about anything.
TIA.

I was going/not going/going/not going/going/not going to the Mitty.
If I can figure my plans out; I will contact you back as this would be perfect for my travels - Chicago - Indy - Atlanta.
It is just SO FAR for a three day weekend - 750 miles each way.
You're welcome to use my place as a drop off point if need be. I'm only a few miles from RA.

PeteZ...I'll throw in $100 for your troubles.
Make it a 4-day weekend..there's stuff going on every day.

Im going to Evansville in July. Not TOO far from indy. Does that help?
What size ball? 500# sounds like something to put in the P-U bed. Might be able to hook something up to get it to Carlisle.
FWIW I'm in Indy weekly, I'm not heading south, but I could hold it indefinitley at my place 120mi south of Chicago.

I would love to help but I cannot make this work.
I have to be at Chicago Midway @ 5:00am on Monday for a flight to Denver and will have to work part of Friday.
Believe me I have been beating my self up all month, I even took the poster down off my wall to stop reminding myself about how AWESOME the Mitty is going to be.

Per, I could offer a place to stash the trailer for a bit if you can't get it moved from Indy. I'm about 1 hour West of Indy.
I can stash it in Atl. if that helps.

I think DILYSIDave is probably closest to RA if it needs to hang out in ATL.

I'm heading to RA this week for a Skip Barber event on Thursday, returning first thing Friday morning. I could haul the trailer from RA to Gainesville, if it could be at RA by then. That would at least get it close to GRM World HQ. Will haul for swag.

I might have found a friend to get it to Lousville, KY this upcoming weekend. Anyone coming to Road Atlanta from KY?

Per... I can't bring it to Atlanta, but if you need a place to dump it in the Louisville area for a few days, it can sit in the land of rust and forgotten Saabs (aka behind my garage).

Dammit, I really wish I could help, as I really wish I could make it to the Mitty. If all else fails, I can probably get it and store it here in Evansville for when Porksboy is coming, but I imagine July would be too late.

Thanks..I think now the plan might be to get it to Blytheville for the Tour in late May and then figure out how to get it back here.

This would be the perfect excuse for a roadtrip. Too bad its not a weekend later, I have finals.
FWIW, I'm going to be in Indy tomorrow with our box truck(no hitch, but it has a lift-gate, if it's not that big), and can store it indefinitely.
