I'm in Dayton and I'd be happy to help this process in some way. I have more than enough truck to tow like 3 Issigonis minis at the same time.

The lack of photos in this thread is disappointing.
If you've not trailered a Mini before it takes a bit of creativity to strap one down. A lot of the obvious points are actually pretty fragile. Make sure you take as big an assortment of attachments and straps as you own. Best way is to strap the wheels IMO.

Once the deal is final, I'll post a pic of it's glory. It can be found in the usual places for those curious beforehand.
Thanks for the heads up on tie downs. If my trailer is the one being used, wheel straps would be the primary.
I woke up to a text from the seller which came in at midnight that may indicate he sold it. We'll have to see.

GRM is literally the best.
Seville is actually where it'll likely spend the winter... When's the next time you'll be making that trip?
I have that trip on my schedule for the week of 10/12. My trailer is way overkill for a mini but I can dolly it or if you have a small car trailer that would be fine.
You're welcome to use my trailer, I could probably get it down to Youngstown in the near future but it probably makes more sense for me to just rent you a dolly.
Do you know which day of that week? The seller is leaving for vacation on the 14th.
Does Bjorn have AAA?
If yes, this could get the car from the owners place and to Bjorn's place right away.
My thought here is to get the transaction completed as soon as possible removing the owners temptation to sell it to someone else. Once the car is in GRMer hands, this all seems easier to me.
Or, could the car get moved via AAA to Chandlers place, 20 miles out of Lville? Could the car sit in Chandlers parking lot for two weeks? Safe area?
Does the seller have AAA? Would you be willing to spend the $100 to buy the seller AAA? Good value for him because for $100 you get 4 services per year so the seller would still have 3 more services (which can all be tows up to 100 miles.) Then, after transaction is done, have the seller ship it to Chandlers place, or maybe WAE's place which seems to be nearly 100 miles.
Just some thinking points.
PS: you're all great!
PSS: There's even a AAA 200 mile version ($150) that might get the Mini to Columbus??
I wondered to myself if a real Mini fits uhaul equipment.
This found post implies it requires creativity.

Lotsa good thinking there. I think we had AAA but we may have dropped it in favor of the towing option through our insurance. Let me see if I can sneakily ask my wife if we've still got it...
EDIT: Looks like the tow dolly would work well from those threads you posted.
I have a dolly, and aaa.
if one of you texts me axehealeys number or mine to him we can get this done
I just talked to the GM at that shop there and he said he has a garage he could pop it in til I make it back there

What time and where? I am working that day but I can probably go in a bit late or leave early depending. I will also try and swap days. I have Wednesday off but man, car stuff on Monday instead? Heck yea!
Not sure what you are towing it with ,
but did you check the front track and make sure its not too narrow for the ramps ?
My Fiat 600 was too narrow and I had to make an "inside" ramp to fit it on the trailer.....
