Chrysler didn't have a choice. It's in bankruptcy court. Court cases are open to the public, including "evidence" such as the black list.
Bummer is that one of the GM dealers that got the ax just flattened their building and built a brand new facility about 3 years ago.
Seeing as how sales at any particular "store" on the list may suddenly go to zero....it's good that GM is putting the news in the dealer's hands, for now. At GM figure 1 out of 5 stores will close soon. At Chrysler it's about 1 in 4..
I thought it was a bit crass for Chrysler to publish the dealer getting the ax. It would suck to work for one and see the list published before the boss told you and know your life just got even more complicated.
Chrysler dealers have roughly a month to liquidate all cars and equipment. GM dealers have roughly 18 months. Publishing a list by gm would affect their dealers far further than the Chrysler dealers
