I'd say the biggest difference would be in street manners vs track manners. The LS/LT engines all feel lazy to me where as I'm sure the flat plane will feel weak below 3000rpm. The engine would likely suit the Z28 very well for the intended track use while the LT in SS would fit street driving better.
