Asking for my friend. He has a 430k mile 2003 Yukon XL Denali. The power steering doesn't assist when turning left at idle. If he mildly increases the throttle it works and if he turns right, even at idle, it works fine. So far he has only flushed the fluid and it didn't help. Any ideas from the hive?
Is that a steering box or rack and pinion type setup?
Box.
Id make sure there isn’t a bind in there place. If no bind, I’d suspect the box is wore out. Just my guts opinion.
