Finding a 15x10 or 15x9 is pretty difficult isn't it?
Sweet who makes 275's? Or should I be looking for slicks in that size.
On second Thought a 275 might be over kill for such a light low powered car, I would think a 225 or 245 max would be optimal.

Hoosier makes 275 and 245. I still think the 15x7 idea is the best since we won't have a use for these wide 15's after the event unless someone has a supply of free take offs.
This thread is awesome! I just convinced a buddy to hack up his $400 car in the same fashion and enter it in the challenge. question can we run no windshield at the challenge?
A 225 45 15 may be best, we can throw them on your 15x9's, or we can go with my original plan of running a set of 205/50/15's on the 15x7's I already have.

There is one in Jacksonville. That's where I am planning on getting the roll bar tubing.

Yes, I'm too lazy to go to the swap meets to get the stuff cheaper like Andrew Nelson.
have andy get the wheels to me and ship the tires here, i'll mount/balance them and bring them down? that way $0 to a shop for mounting/balancing.

I have a tire machine and balancer at work, we may go with 225's or 205's on my 7 inch wheels. If we get the NC obviously the tire selection will be different.

Sweet! Hopefully I can get a deal on the NC.
Hmmm.... If you get the NC I'll see if my spare mustang wheels from last years build fit on my friends dads NC. Also maybe Stampie still has the NC bilsteins from his Miata that you could use to make some type of coilover setup.

its Florida... you can register a dead manatee as a car there and no one would care.

I may take you up on that for he Q45, might also need help wiring up the nitrous.
So finding a suitable Miata has proved to be more difficult then I initially anticipated. I have looked on copart, craigslist etc... Everything is more expensive then I want to spend or to far gone damage wise.
That started me thinking what other options are out there. I definitely want RWD, a manual, and preferably something with a decent aftermarket. My first thought was Corvette, because that seems like the easy answer and it has been done before. Then I realized that I already own the perfect vehicle...
