Anybody driven one of the new ones? How is reliability for the new VWs?
Thanks.
You will find that VW people love anything VW... Despite their shortcomings. And people that are not VW people think they are junk and don't understand what VW people see in VWs... Clear?
I've just driven a Chevy Sonic 1.4 6 speed, if you care to make a thread on those, I'm sure I can think of some choice words.

Truth. I'm in the second group...
My wife has a 2010 Golf Wagon. Not a TDi though.
It has been fine. Only 20k kms on it - not enough to establish reliability.
I just drove a brand new TDI and I thought it was a fabulous car. Really quiet, really smooth, surprisingly fast and a lot of fun to drive. Anybody have experience with the new 2.0 engine?
I really liked it but was surprised by how much turbo lag it had. Pretty much the first rev-hungry diesel I've ever driven. With the stick shift it was actually a total hoot in the twisties.

Depends on whether or not the magazine I'm free lancing for decided to do more stories in this series.

Wow.. But maybe accurate.. Except VW never had an American Big Brother trying to ruin them.
