Liked. Looking for any Neon parts?

depends... how close are you to west central MN and do you have all the parts to convert it from an auto to a proper manual trans?

was out cleaning up the wiring tonight.. removed a few wires and straightened out the dash wiring harness... only removed wires for stuff that has already been removed- airbag and radio wires- and now the oil light in the dash is always on- even when the ignition switch is unplugged.. it also won't start- pump primes, engine cranks and fires, then dies when i let off the key.. all fuses and relays are good...

yeah, i love working on later model cars...

Far, and no. I have an eibach rear sway i was considering letting go but just half an hour ago i started thinking about my neon as a possible chumpcar and now im hesitant to sell anything. LOL

if the auto trans feels like it doesn't wanna downshift, there's an article on the ".org" that shows you how to disassemble the linkage at the trans and re-grease everything. it's a big improvement.

yeah, the kickdown linkage is rusted tight to the shift linkage- it kicks the trans into neutral if i mash the go pedal to the floor with it all hooked up..... probably did that because they put it right under the battery, with a drain hole that trickles battery acid right on top of that linkage- great engineering there... but a proper race car needs a stick shift, so i'd rather go that route, anyways.

fixed the "start then die when you let off the key issue" by simply cranking it longer after it fires... fixed the "oil pressure light always on in the dash and draining the battery" issue by pulling the dome light fuse... newer cars are weird...

welded up a battery tray to mount the battery in the rear passenger seat footwell... ran out of metal so i couldn't make the top hold down, and didn't move the battery there because i don't have any long cables yet.. but i made a pretty tray out of some angle iron.. also spent about an hour with a propane torch and a putty knife scraping the asphalt sound deadener off the area of the floor where the battery goes... i'm going to relegate the job of scraping the rest of that crap out of the car to my 13 year old nephew that wants to race it on the ice this winter...
