I'm going to drop an OBD-I S52 cammed M52 in the E30 in the next few months and have begun aquiring parts for the swap.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a good yard to get a motor from? Bavarian auto recycling wants $2500 for a complete OBD-II M52, a localish lard wants $1600 and Vines Automotive down in Alabama wants $1250 +shipping.
Once I'm actually ready to buy and have cash in hand I'll obviously try to negotiate, but no point in doing that if I end the conversation with "Sounds good, I'll call you back in 6-8 weeks"
Any suggestions?
