Yeah the tire degradation was a consern in testing:
I stayed up, fell asleep and missed the start, woke up at lap 12 then fell asleep until the very end. Was happy to see my favorite driver on the top of the podium. Proves you really can't predict what's going to happen.
Those aren't marbles, they're black softballs.

So who's wearing the T-shirt that says "Leave me alone, I know what I'm doing"?
Or, from this race, "I told you the car was good."

I didn't get any of it recorded. When I did a search it didn't even show qualifying.
Qualifying may not have made it onto DVR selections because it was a last minute re-schedule due to the heavy rains on Sat.
Sat night was the most motorsports I've been able to watch in ages: I lucked into tuning in right before the start of the Supercross Main Event race, followed by the end of Sebring 12 hr, then F1 qualifying and race. About 6 hours straight of live racing.
I thought the F1 race was a good one: clean first corner start. No crashes and minimal attrition. So it came down to who's pre-race prep and strategy would come out on top and you never really know for sure until the checkered flag flies. I enjoyed it and forgotten how much I missed it (it's probably been three years since I've been able to watch a race live on tv).
Great race I liked the split screen for commercials as well. Go iceman
