It is a GREAT time to buy a RACECAR since they are useless right now. 

They are some great deals if you look, like mid 90 Mazdas that look like mid 90's chevy's..  ;)

Looks like the JDM steering wheel everyone uses on their corolla/mr2

It's a 2000ish celica wheel.  I had one in my sw20 mr2 and really liked it. 

I figured since my oem 4runner wheel was ripped I would give one a shot.  It fit perfectly, I just need to hook the cruise back up...

Yup my sw20 also has it. Mine has the red stitch - which maybe the JDM version

Ahh mine is a little differnt than yours. Its on my 93. I had an old pic from when I bought it (8 years ago). Though I like my 94 OEM one better at times. 

I think I like your style better.  It's less "bubbly".

If you are considering buying the 4Runner from Pimp (Jeremy) skip the driving and just have the truck shipped.  I have bought 3 cars via Jeremy and all were site unseen.  All were exactly as described.  Even in the rare case that you do end up with some buyer's remorse, in CO, you could still sell the 4Runner for what you paid including the shipping cost.  I see it as a no-loose situation for you.  

It looks to be 1750 miles from Jax to Denver.  I bet that you could get it shipped for $875-$1k.

There's a rumour going around that Toyota is bringing the Yaris GR stateside in 2022. So I'd wait until then.

I definitely like the 4runner don't get me wrong.  It does everything I need it to and it will undoubtedly never depreciate given it is a rare highlander edition, manual with a locker. 

However I think a Gladiator will be a great truck for my needs.  It can pull a 5,000 pound trailer.  It has a manual transmission.  It's a convertible.  Its doors come off.  I can use it to haul my kids.  It has a bed.  It can do anything offroad I desire it to.  It should hold its value well. 

Also of importance, ever since I sold my wrangler unlimited last year my wife has complained several times about our lack of a Jeep.  Last week we drove the 4runner to a neighbors to pick up a table and my wife commented "it's nice out too bad we can't take the doors off."  Happy wife happy life 

I'm bringing this thread back from the dead because around here I've noticed that instead of dropping, car prices (used) have increased in the last month. My old XC70 has left me stranded for something stupid for the last time and the CVT in my GF's Sentra has just crapped the bed so I'm looking at both end of the used market to replace them both. Old hooptie for me and almost new for her and I'm noticing the same thing at both end of the spectrum. 

How is your region's market reacting?

Seems to be a really good time to buy a boat or a motorcycle though which is the opposite of usual.

What I mean in term of car sales is that I think $40k car can be bought for $30k (which sounds great but that is still $30k.)  However, what once was a $3k solid runner is likely to move to costing $5k for a solid runner.  

So, new cars or near new cars like purchases off the rental fleet companies get cheaper while "drive to work cars" for the under employed get more expensive.  This is supply and demand.  There will be a smaller supply of people who can drop big coin on a car but there is a glut of cars out there.  Simultaneously, there will be a bigger supply of people needing a cheap car but there will be fewer cheap cars to be had.   

Personally, I have my eyes on a 2019 Grand Caravan GT from Hertz or Avis' direct websites.  These had a $35k sticker new and now with 36k miles (in one year) they are retailing for $16k.  That is 50%-ish.  

Look at their sites, there are some very good deals out there but anything good they have starts at $10k or more.

I have noticed that in Phoenix already too.  A 5yo 4x4 quad cab pick up has dropped to what they owe to get out from under it(15-20k).  a 20yo Tahoe went from $2500-3500 to 7-8k.  

I've always felt tomorrow morning would be a great time to buy a used car from a private party.  

Show up with a stack of cash the day before Christmas and the seller dude now has a happy wife and you got a deal.

Ironic that the OP's subject was price plummet when reality was the opposite. Maybe they'll plummet soon.. from now.. I guess we will wait and see.
