My buddy just drove his parents car down to florida where it will sit most of the time undriven.
The car is an 01 honda civic LX.
What recommendations have you?

I'd say four jack stands.

Something cheap, since it will age-out long before it will wear out.

whatever you get, if its just gonna sit a lot I would get a set of these

just google "RV tire covers" and you should be able to find a source.

they make "cradles" that keep the tyres from flatspotting. Might want to look into those too

I would say run-flats, if you can't keep it jacked up. Even run-flats would probably flatspot pretty easily, though.

Our $20XX E30 hardly gets used anymore and it sits on old Azenis that WilberM3 traded two small pizzas for. We keep about 33psi in them and they haven't badly flat spotted yet.

So either get some junky tires that you'll swap out when you drive it or get some tires with strong side walls and put a little extra air in them.

How often does the car move? Even if it's just to the store once a week, as long as they're properly inflated etc, you should be fine.

if it were he or I dealing with it all the time we probably would do jack stands. It is mostly his father and friends that will be using it. The good thing is that the car is stored in an attached garage. the car will be spending 75% of it's time on long sits. Car will be parked again on the 5th and then my wife will use it the first weekend of december when it will again be parked til new years ish. That is the life this car leads now.
