I just feel bad for the poor SOB who is ultimately to blame after they figure out why. That's likely a lot of man-hours up in smoke.
Yep, FRBs are always a good bunch of money. Unless they're really mean dudes, they'll chalk it up as a "check the third phillips head screw to the left of the mounting block for correct torque spec; catastrophic failure may result." type of thing.

I really like Smores. Sounds like a Ford would be a good choice for me.
I dunno---- I think the new Fords look HOT!

See, now that's funny.
trying to imply that a prototype fire has some relationship with an old issue that I've never heard of- not sure how that's funny. and THEN trying to say it's a joke? If you have to point out it's a joke, maybe it's not.
Could say that truck sales were a little too hot this month.
They were testing! Now they now something doesn't work right. Better now than later.
it was a flammability test. they pass.

I would rather the prototypes catch on fire than the production models.
Maybe it was in danger of falling into enemy hands so they scuttled it?
Those Fiat/Ram guys are pretty ruthless
I guess thats what they call "fully involved". Job "well done" Ford!

(for the Rush nerds--and I'm not even a Rush nerd )
Sucks to lose a very expensive prototype, though.
It's entertaining, but the sad part is there is not much way they will be able to trace the actual source of ignition and that is what would be really important.
By far the most commonly melted vehicles I have seen in person are LSx powered GM trucks. Like over 30 in one visit to the junkyard, and there were always at least that many there for years.

Not sure if you're serious or not, but either way I'm practically ROTFLMAO!
Looks like Land Rover had their turn in Colorado today
