We just spent the weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed with our friends from Subaru. More info and details to come once we’re back in the office, but here’s a teaser in the form of photos.

You win one internetz for best thread title of the day. That is perfect.
I spent four days at the FoS in 2011. It was an amazing experience -- just so much to see. I can't wait to go back to Goodwood for the Revival or Members' Meeting.
We just got back as well and fully recommend adding this event to the bucket list. Bring boots or shoe totes/covers as the rainy weather makes for muddy grounds! We escaped Saturday's rain by spending the day in the GP Club.

Thank you, thank you. That was all written from the Delta lounge at Heathrow.
That really is a heck of an event. No matter your poison, it's there--from Group B rally and IMSA GTP to prewar and '60s F1.
Also, we saw Keanu Reeves.

Hey, that's where we spent Saturday, too. What a view. Plus clean bathrooms. And alcohol.
I wore my Docs all weekend and did just fine. Most of the people in our group got Wellies. Yes, there was much mud.
Here's the funny thing--sorta. I admit that I'm not big on tight spaces. Or heights. Or stuffy rooms. So the helicopter rides were interesting--exciting, yes, but also at first a bit of white-knuckling. The one with the fighter escort had five of us in there--three facing forward and two facing backwards. I was facing backwards. To fit, we had to interlock our knees.
To get some air, one of the guys cracked open the window. Something with the air pressure change caught me off-guard, I guess. I didn't puke, but the guy across from me said that I did turn a bit green there for a few.
Fortunately I still got my pictures.
