Hillman Avenger Tiger, this and a Chevette HSR are my dream cars - take your porkers, enzos, benzos and shove 'em where the sun don't shine!

That Chevette HSR is awesome!

On topic: I had a friend who had a Colt in high school. If we had only known we could stuff a turbo 4g63 in it...

Yeah, damned European only Chevette HSR, with the 2.3L slant 4...DOHC... 160hp in a tin can....

There are times...when I HATE being Canadian. Then I remember that if I enslave myself to work for 10 years, that I could import one! But who am I kidding?

the plymouth cricket/avenger tiger wasn't as well as endowed as the chevette - 1.6l but it siounded great, also available in the Sunbeam ti, sibling of the Lotus Sunbeam.

I think his happiness was because he noticed that if you google "Plymouth Colt", a pic shows up in the #1 position of the Westside Challenge Colt, adorned with GRM Challenge number placard.

I raced a (Mitsubishi) Dodge Colt with Twin Stick in ITC races in the mid '80s. It was a sister car to ~This One~ (the red/yellow Colt in the link belonged to Joe DeLuca......we lost him in Flight 93).

The old rwd Rootes Group Hillman Avenger has had a long run. It was designed in the mid '60. When Rootes went bust, it was sold to Peugeot and sold as a "Talbot". Later all the tooling was sold to Iran where it was re-badged the ~Paykan~;. Up to a couple of years ago, it was still the most popular car in Iran and you would see them all over the place. I used to own a Plymouth Cricket, so it always made me laugh. Eventually, the Iranian government had a sort of "cash for clunkers" program aimed specifically at the Paykan, to get them replaced with a more modern car. The tooling was sold to Sudan, where they are still being built.
