Tonight is super fun-time variety hour on GRM LIVE! Presented by CRC Industries. We’ll start off with a couple video features on a cool autocross Toyota Echo and a championship-winning BMW 330i. Then we’ll switch gears and show you an inexpensive hardware store tech project you can use at your next track day or autocross.

I think you should lay the tire flat and and wrap the curved part "vertically".

Box cutter usage reminded me strongly of the "so you've drilled through your hand" column. (Which is one of my favorites).

Loved this episode guys, seriously I think it's the best so far.

Another idea: when promoting a sponsor, spend a little time talking about a product. Ex: "here's a book at Auto books aerobooks that I just read and it was awesome."

Or: "we all like the brake clean, but here is CRC's cutting oil. Let me show you the difference between a hole drilled with and without it."

Its not too "commercially" in my mind because it is adding value to the viewer. If you think a book is cool, that's a real reason to check something out. If you can help me drill better holes, that would be awesome.

That's a great suggestion and something I do from time to time, but in the utter chaos of tonight's pre-show I'm surprised I was even speaking english. Seriously, if given the choice, never do live TV.

That said, I think you'll be pleased with a new sponsor we're going to introduce next week (well, you probably already know them, but it'll be their first time sponsoring the show). We're working with them to provide some cool content as part of their sponsorship package. If it comes together like I'm hoping it should be really cool.

It was fun to do. Well, they all are, but I'm just happiest when there's no safety net, huge chance of failure, and actual likllihood of injury. I mean, doing live TV is stupid in general, but even stupider when you're doing completely unplanned tech. You may as well embrace the stupid once in a while and make it engaging.

When the knife came out for cutting I considered pre-dialing 91.. just to be ready to come to your rescue. I enjoyed and had a couple of laughs.

I really liked the Echo feature. Giving props to the average man (who is more than average)

How I hope that the new sponsor is Harbor Freight and that each week you will use a different tool/impliment/item to drive a nail.

I have a fairly good health plan, very little dignity and 20 years of live improv theater training. What could go wrong?

PS: I also had a Carolina Reaper Pepper peanut butter cup in the fridge. If things kept going off the rails, that may have come out.

Thanks for succumbing to the peer pressure and drawing a dick on live TV.

I really enjoyed the whole show. Great job by you and everyone involved.

The mistake you made was thinking I'm not below debasing myself to win a dare.

Now for the real question:

Do tire blankets count in the challenge budget? devil

If it's not on the car for the competition portion, then it does not count in the budget...

I considered bringing a set for 2017, but was not sure I would have a generator dedicated to running them.
