Despite the worldly affairs, the GRM crew continues to chug on. There’s content to generate, cars to build and, yes, a business to be run.
Note that most of us on staff are telecommuting. If you need us, best to reach out via our contact page.
Some of us on staff already work at home, either full-time or a …

Schools are closed so my kitchen table 'home office' has been overrun by my four kids all day. Productivity, baby!
Just realized Nicole's office didn't make it in here. Here she is, with cat assisting.
By the way, totally didn't mean to do that MC Escher thing with my monitor.
Our office has gone to an A/B rotation. Half the employees are on team A, half on team B. Team A is in the office this week, Team B next week. Social distancing at its' finest...I guess. My role doesn't qualify to be on either of the teams, so I'm keeping my normal schedule. Normally I work in the office two days a week and at home three, so I'm fine with it. One nice thing about this is the traffic, or lack thereof. Atlanta traffic is now non-existant. I'll make my 60 mile commute home this afternoon in an hour. Normally it's 1hr 20min or even more.
Brought the workstation home last night - in a turbo NA, of course.
Gotta say the amenities and the view of the new office aren't too bad, though.

That's a high risk undertaking right there.

Bob Costas.
These workspaces are almost shockingly clean and organized. I feel somewhat ashamed of mine.
Oddly enough, I work in a pile of random crap at work, but keep my home desk fairly neat and tidy. No idea why, but I can't focus here without it orderly.
Oh, and it helps that 99% of our work is on a computer rather than on paper.
I'll be working one more day tomorrow, then I'll begin burning through my PTO.
Can't do surgery, vaccines, or work up medicine cases from home.
Things are going to get tight.
I'm glad GRM, my favorite family business, is prepared.

You didn't see a picture of what got left behind at the office...
In reply to slowride :
It's organized chaos. Plus, to be honest, I cleaned my desk last night while swapping over monitors: big for bigger.
I'm a little jealous, honestly. I should spend time getting organized. I probably won't though.
I'm tryin to figure out how to teach high school driver education from home. No seat time for now.
If they only all had simulators and iracing accounts!

Cats are awesome in the work environment and they improve productivity and morale. As long as they have spell check.
My office is in my house next to the biz. I started conducting any face to face business out on the front porch. It feels very awkward for now.

I still have to go into the office for now. Fortunately I have minimal contact with the public in my current assignment, and there are only 9 of us working in a huge facility.
There are only three of us in the giant room you can see in the picture.
It could all change at a moment's notice though...
I already work from home. Except there will be very little work to do in a week or two.
They said I can't work from home as a ski instructor. Who knew?! Sucks too because we had a dry winter and then 7+ feet of snow over the past weekend.
Time to make the shift from winter job to summer job. Gas prices should be low as should traffic. Hopefully I won't be on here asking for help on the journey. Also sad that the Land Cruiser museum in SLC is closed. That was going to be one of our stops.
I was going to say, I haven't had an office space in about 5 years now. The only difference now is I don't go meet the client all day. It's all phone calls and today a bike ride. Did 15 miles with one of my partners to stay healthy during the shut down.
The view out of the office is to the alley between the 2 condo buildings. Can't wait till the weather gets better to take calls off the patio.
None of those desks has a typical dual or triple monitor setup. What kind of monster uses their laptop screen as a second screen!?!?!?

KVM switches are a thing of the past, and now there are more cables than ever. Why hasn't someone made a multi-monitor, multi-usb KVM box yet??

I have two monitors plugged into my docking station at home to match my office setups, but for some reason one of them won't work. I typically run three monitors - two plus the laptop. Email on the laptop, with the design programs on the other two (or right now, one).
I might order one of those super-wide curved monitors. That might be nice.
