I was on the fence, but reading this makes me fall towards HIN in Miami with Minissan to possibly win some $$$ and see if a US magazine will do a feature on it. I was going to do both events (I got a brand new nitrous system complete for $6, on true modern day Challenge fashion, husband died.), but HIN changed the date to the same weekend as the Challenge. I'll wait another week or so to see if the entry list and excitement level grows... I know, now you can throw rocks at the clown and knock him off the fence...
The canadians will be back in 2013. I get married in a week, pink shirt guy is still in china working away and our resident mechanic freeman is finishing up his engineering degree. Gives us time to go through the car a bit better... Wish everyone the best of luck!
3 days and just one more team not coming. Decision made, this year everybody beats the clown, we're going to HIN. Maybe we'll be back in 2013. Have fun, we'll watch the thread from Miami. 
I'm going to need to raise some moneys for the trip. Look for a for sale thread tonite. 
Just used the new whiz-bang on-line ordering system to pay for the registration fee. I've had six years to make my $2006 car not completely suck and not blow fluids all over the dragstrip, so here's hoping for a finish not in the bottom third!

I paid a while back, but won't have a car done. (It would have been iffy before, but my new gig makes it impossible to spend any time in the garage.) Can I still come to the banquet and hang out? Maybe run the daily driver?
Entrance fee is paid and hotel is booked. The actual reg. form is on this week's to-do list.

Are any of the other perennial front runners sitting this year out? I haven't heard anything out of the Condor Speed Shop camp either.
The more of them that sit out, the better my chance of placing top half.

Are you not comin' Pat? I'd put my money on the Nelsons. They got hosed last year. It'd be pretty cool to see them come back as "Team Suck it, Whiners." Of course I'll pull for Westside and Mini-Me if either have entries. There may even be a last minute Hong Gang Bang to get some sort of showing, but for me personally, I'm 99% "out." I'm coming back from vacation that week...both of my employees are leaving for vacation the day I get back, and last time Mamapoop watched the shop with the baby for a day (may have been the last challenge?) she politely asked "Please don't ever do that to me again." So my only option at this point would be to close the shop for 3 days. Poor planning on my part. In my head it was "sometime in October."
Will suck to have the annual reunion with all you guys. It's really the only reason I come down anymore.
We may have to pass the torch to Team Canexican Psycho and Uber-Wayne.
Where's wheels? It might be his best shot yet of finally being the bride and not the bridesmaid.
We'll be there. Unfortunately the spitfire is not coming with us, but the Miata is running like a champ. At last dyno it had 250 torques and 220 hp at 5 psi boost. At competition it was running a lowly 150 hp, when it ran. Quick calcs show upwards for 400 hp at race boost.
I am going to come down and spectate, and hopefully help out some and have a blast. See ya there!
