leaving on 21st, 2 weekends left. very little to do to car. have to break bead on one tire and hit it with more bead sealer, mount a couple things, and change the oil. trailer is a mess, hoping to have that done this weekend.

I spent some time today cleaning carpets and floor mats. I should say re-cleaning because I have done this once before but since then I have daily driven it 1,300 miles including a two driver autox and drag racing.
That light tan, deep pile carpet really holds the dirt. Notice how dirty the water is.
Just got my '95 Maxima running 2 days ago with the 3.5 swap. Got some odds and ends left to do, and I ordered tires and brakes this morning. Hopefully my tires get here in time…I might have to just bring them along and mount them down there! Still need to pull out the nasty carpet and try to make the inside not smell like weed, maybe bang out a few dents and give her a thorough cleaning, but barring a catastrophe my brother and I will be there! It's smart to take a car on a 10 hr road trip right after you get it done, right?

We have 4 more bolts to go to finish the car. Picked up NOS and gasoline an hour ago. Oil change in truck was 2 days ago.....I am really liking the idea of nut finishing the car at the hotel...
new trailer brakes and wheel bearing service is done, new fender on, tire shelf built, almost done with my ramp brackets(giving welder a break and eating).
add running to summit racing to fill my bottle to the list of crap i need to do. and buy a proper fuel jug. and roll bar padding.

Yes. We will have 2 seats. The boys are driving themselves down.

Should also have plenty of room on the way back.
Anyone near Dallas want a ride? We have at least one more seat. Leaving early, early AM on the 22nd and will be back the 25th. Askin only to share in the gas fill ups.

Because of you guys and your refinement and luxury, I felt inclined to reinstall my timing belt cover...you know, to add detail and refinement to the engine bay.

You people are killing me. I want to hear about more angry engines!!!!

For you listening pleasure, here are two quickly shot, Sunday morning examples of the "anger" that I have to go with my clean floor mats.
The two videos are pretty much the same thing, just two takes. Rev #1 is about 3k rpm; rev #2 is about 5k rpm in each.
It's all I've got.
In reply to wheels777:
Amen.
It's a particularly odd phenomenon.
If it helps, mine sounds gloriously angry.

My 1st start video is in my build thread, and my Maxima sounds pretty angry with open exhaust. I think I've been inducted into the aristocrat class, but I think I will be the most unrefined aristocrat there. At least I hope so.
mr nelson, i hope this is angry enough for you. first real test drive with no bugs to fix afterward(no oil spraying windshield, no random stalling, etc).

trailer brakes done, new trailer tires mounted and on, trailer back on ground, hooked up to truck and nothing happened when i hit brake controller. new plug/harness from connector to trailer junction block cured that. hooked up breakaway kit for DOT's pleasure. trailer officially is rolling and the brakes work. next up ramps, blocks, tie down points, maybe another tool shelf. back is really angry for making it dismount 4 235/85/16 10 ply tires from some heavy dually rims and swap them over to the trailer rims.
No noises, but some sketchy nitrous wiring. I feel like I'm behind, I don't even have a seat right now. At least I will have the least luxurious luxury car, also hopefully the lightest and fastest but not the prettiest.

Very Cool!

Awesome.
Did you pull the wiper blades/arms/motor?
Those hood props and hinges seem like unneeded weight. Full size battery?
In reply to JohnRW1621:
Umm, looks like it's parked in a vacant lot across the harbour from the yacht club.

I'm up to 645 lbs lost, I haven't removed the blower motor, heater core, A/C, or either bumper support.
