Carolina natives, I read this the other day. I have not seen any dates for the north bound side. Are you folks hearing anything?

COLUMBIA, SC —

Road conditions are improving by the day in South Carolina, but hundreds of bridges and roads remained impassable Monday, eight days after historic rains and floods devastated much of the Midlands.

The southbound lanes of Interstate 95, a major north-south corridor along the Eastern Seaboard, reopened Monday. However, the northbound lanes remained closed in the Florence area as S.C. Department of Transportation officials worked to shore up bridges.

“We originally sent 200 truckloads of concrete (for I-95’s northbound lanes), but we’ve had to add 70 truckloads to that,” said Gov. Nikki Haley at her noon briefing Monday.

As of noon Monday, 322 roads across the state were deemed impassable – a figure that included 98 bridges, according to the Transportation Department.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation has identified nine bridges along a closed portion of Interstate 95, including washed out areas around bridge foundations caused by recent flood waters. Below is the current list of I-95 road closures in South Carolina as of October 10, 2015.

Cert is for the cage, not the car. The driver need a license, suit, helmet, glove sock, boots, etc... and the car has to have axles, shields, balancer, restraints, belts and a number of other things to go faster than 9.99

I'd love to have the Lambo or limo, but I'll settle for finishing my car, making it FL, finishing the event, and making it back to VA. On the other hand, I may have a better chance at a trophy than doing all that!

My mom lives in Charleston but has been up to close where 95 and 26 meet. She would have been on the roads parallel to 95. If you can get to 95 and 26 look at taking 15 down to Walterboro and then alt 17 to where it hits 95 south around mile marker 32.

You can also cut over to Augusta and take 1 south to Waycross then 84 and 441 into Florida.

15 to 17 is a nice ride, assuming it's all still there.

I'm planning on a straight shot on 95S from Emporia, VA to FL...maybe I should rethink that.

I got through there a couple of weeks ago. Wasn't that big of a deal.

We are all psyched and looking forward to seeing everyone.

Need to take a nasty old gas tank over to NPD tomorrow afternoon in Ocala and try and match up a new one to put in Sunday. I should be at the Challenge by dinner time. Look forward to cruising the parking lot and saying hi to everyone and introducing fellow concours judge Al Unser Jr.

My beloved Ridgeline is down for some R&R and I am driving a new Mustang GT.

Wonder what kind of truck the Mustang is? Should be fun on the autocross course and drag strip.
