This will be hard as multiple posts come in... After Ilysgennad post I included myself (30/3), Peabody (12/2), ghE30 as a single car (22/1), and Apex (21/2). Edited to add Steve (57/3)!
545.25y/37c=14.7
(403.25+30+12+22+21+57)y/(26+3+2+1+2+3)c
Mine:
2023 Tesla (only car ever purchased new, first car I've owned newer than 2006 other than the wife's van).
2016 Sienna (purchased in 2017, built in 2015)
2006 E90 330i (purchased in 2020. Just sold it, but the camper van is also a 2006 so I'm including it).
2+9+19=30. 30/3=10 age average.
2017 Honda CRV - 8 years old
2024 Honda Ridgeline - 1 year. So, 9 divided by 2 = 4.5?
If I could factor in 51 (914) and 85 (LaSalle), oh boy!

25 year old LS400 year round since there's no snow here
2021 Acura RDX (4 years old)
2018 Acura TLX (7 y/o)
2015 (year finished) Exocet (10 y/o)
So, average is 5.5 if the Exocet is ignored, or 7 if it is included
Geez you guys made me make a spreadsheet... Cars 13-45 as near as I could decipher.
so for anyone that wants to add theirs..
2015 / 10 YO - Sum 657 years / 45 Cars- 14.60 years average
Add each of your cars age to the Sum, Add 1 car to the number of cars and calculate the current average. Don't just average the age of your vehicles. We need to maintain the total average not just the average of the averages.
I guess I'll include the fleet (only included running cars). I drive them all, but the civic is my personal daily.
2008 civic. 17 years.
2004 lancer wagon. 21 years.
1993 geo prizm. 32 years.
2019 Mazda cx9. 6 years.
Average 19 years.
Our fleet (4 vehicles) average is 13.25, but the average of the wife's daily and mine is 20.5
DD, 6 years. I tend to buy them off lease and run them until they are 10-12 years old.
Floating doc civic- 674/46=14.65
Deadskunk- 715/48=14.90
me-721/49=14.71
Summer DD is 25
Winter DD is 27
Average 26
Please add my score to the pile.
Winter: Tacoma 22y
Summer: Cayman 17y
Mrs. p:
Summer: Ghia 57y
She is looking to pick up an rav4 for winter if she gets it: 23y
Alright current score including the last few with Mrs. P's 1968 Ghia
1968 / 57 YO - Sum 951 Years / 58 Cars - 16.28 average.
Mrs P is putting in the work she singlehandedly dragged out average up from 15.55 to 16.28.
1999 Silverado at 26 years old brings it to 977 years/59 cars for 16.55 average

Quoting in case somebody snipes my post. Adding my three cars
1123/65=17.27

My FiST and wife's Accent are both 2016s.

If we want to be accurate about things we should look at date of manufacturer, or in service dates. Eg. My wife's car's in service date was Aug 2015 and mine was Dec 2015.
The ol' family beater van I've been DDing just hit 20 and there's no hope of affording a replacement in sight.
1998 Ford Windstar: 27 years old. 2009 GMC Sierra 1500: 16 years old. 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe: Dead and waiting. 1972 Volvo 1800E: Dead and waiting.

2006 Volvo V50 / 19 years old
2009 BMW 128i / 16 years old
35 years / 2 cars = average 17.5 years old
I was told there wouldn't be math.
If y'all wanna do it for me I have a 2002 for a daily.

Limiting to dailies, 2002 is the average year so 22 years old.
how many dailies in the household? we need the number of cars as well as the household average.
DD is 19 years. If I include all of my cars...
1967 = 58 yrs
1966 = 59 yrs
1983 = 42 yrs
2006 = 19 yrs
My average is 44.5 years
