Im considering buying a Miata in the Knoxville / Oak Ridge area but im in Raleigh so my only trip out would likely be to trailer it home. Wanted to see if anyone here is familiar with the car and could possibly recommend a miata shop to do a PPI for me out there.

I’m your Huckleberry, as far as Knoxville and Oak Ridge.
But, I don’t know the car, or a Miata/Mazda specific garage in town for the PPI. I know of a European specific garage that does them, and a Toyota/Lexus specific one, both fairly close to Oak Ridge. Do you want their numbers to check and see?
Yeah sure that would be a great help!
When in Knoxville, it is required that you go to the Fort Sanders Yacht Club and pay tribute (however you deem appropriate) to fallen GRM Challenge and Forum legend Jon Haas <jhaas>.

That place looks incredible, I will for sure make a stop there if I go buy this car.
European Auto Garage on Lovell Road 875-862-5270. They host the local Cars&Coffee too. I have friend who used them for a PPI on a BMW.
ProToy is the Tokyo/Lexus ship 865-670-0787. I’ve meet the owner and he seems like a super nice guy but I’ve never had work done there. I have a co-worker who uses them extensively.
And I’ll add Christian Brothers Automotive 865-270-6588. I know the owner here and he is a good guy. Only reason I didn’t send you there first is that I’m not sure they do PPIs. But I know they had no problem setting the alignment and fixing a wiring gremlin on a 83 CJ-7 I had.
Let me know now how else I can help

Look above the bar for the model of the Deathmobile from Animal House. That is the official Evil Alliance trophy from way back in GRM Challenge history. There's a story there but it doesn't belong in this thread.
There is also a shop in Oak Ridge that performs stock and high performance work:

Ask for JT
Might want to post on the etrscca facebook page since most of them have miatas and might know a miata specialty shop..
