Some videos on there of our 1995 Civic that we've run in the past three challenges. We upgraded pads, rotors, and brake lines for this event since this variation of Sebring is so tough on brakes. It was a great event, lots of Central Florida Autoxers out there and one David S. Wallens was kind enough to grace us with is presence! I'll have pictures loaded up from the event soon.
Midway through the 1st session I had a ton of smoke coming into the cabin, exhaust melted an axle boot and axle grease was the cause of smoke.
Midway through 3rd session I lost a lot of boost and brake pressure. Remote vacuum canister collapsed on itself. Car still ran, just had to start braking really early and didn't have a whole lot of power!
Remote vacuum canister collapsed?
you sir are a badass!
That car looks a lot faster than our 1995 Civic LeMons car. Do you have a build page?
That was a fun event. Nice seeing the Challenge Civic out there, too.
My dad has it somewhere. The engine itself is all stock. eBay turbo kit purchased off craigslist, with some dsm injectors, are really the only power mods, plus a lot of weight savings.
The remote vacuum canister was basically a huge T-fitting to run vacuum lines to the boost gauge, waste gate, etc. Note to anyone planning on doing something of this sort....make sure you use a material that can withstand lots of sucking power
