Does this mean there'll be a digital-only subscription? I'll subscribe in a heartbeat if there is. GRM's the only thing left that I don't read on my iPad.
If we have a print subscription do we get a online subscription as well?
Right now, digital subscriptions will be automatically included with the print sub, and we won't have a digital-only option. That seems to be the most common model out there, but as the publishing environment changes we plan to change right along with it... so stay tuned.
Along the same lines, we are looking to have a native App to allow offline viewing by the end of the year.

I'll get a digital-only subscription as soon as you offer it.

Really good to see this development! As others have said, I'd gladly go to digital only. I'm well into my 10 year subscription and I fully hope/expect that by the end of it, the only paper coming to my mailbox regularly will be junk mail. That way I can just put the mailbox on top of the recycle bin and save myself some trouble.

If we already have a print sub, do we need to re-register for this or do you already know who we are?

The subscription to our digital edition is already available......and it comes with a free sub of the print mag!
see what I did there
Seriously though, if you prefer the digital medium, just pass the (free) print mag along to a friend who may not know about GRM. Spread the love!

No I don't prefer the digital copy, in fact I hate digital books/mags as I don't own a tablet, but lunch time reading will be easier at work with the digital version.
Can we get past issues? Last months has vanished without a trace and I barely read it.

April is still up. You may hate it here: http://grassrootsmotorsports.epubxp.com/issue/56205
And old issues will be available to subscribers. Initially it will be these issues that you've seen, but in the future we hope to begin working back through the catalog and digitizing older content. That priority is way down the list below the actual app development and implementation of the new technology into our current production and distribution process. In other words, we need to figure out how to do stuff before we actually do it, which is something we;ve had trouble within the past.

There will be a landing page where you create a username and password to gain access to the current issue as well as our entire digital archive (all issues from April on, plus we plan to build in our back issues as we go along). It'll check your info against our active subscriber list when you sign in.
You'll also be able to subscribe right from that screen, if you haven't already.

This is cool but PLEASE don't make the "offline app" platform limited or DRM-encumbered. I have enough problems viewing the current digital issues over my limited bandwidth connection, and the viewer is reeeeeallly slow & cramped on my screen. Not to mention I like to run the true grassroots OS - Linux. I'd really just rather have the issues as files that I can move around at will & stick on whatever computer I happen to be carrying with me, without having to install anything. I would re-subscribe in an instant if I could just get a PDF in my inbox every month.
Honestly, I let my subscription lapse a year or so ago, not because of the cost, which is really reasonable for what you get (especially to Europe), but because the "old" issues were piling up and I don't have much room around here. I don't have know anyone into cars to give them to and I don't have the heart to throw them out. Now I'm gonna be moving and it looks like a big stack of them are going on Kijiji.
So I just finally subscribed after years of buying the magazine on the stand.
Is there any way to get the digital version on my iPad, or am I stuck reading it on the desktop?

The reader is iPad-browser friendly. We don't have a dedicated app (yet), but it will still work on your iPad if you just go to the URL.
I'm really digging this digital option. Great job GRM.

Thanks, I'll give that a try later. I would normally say that I'd suggest going through Zinio for distribution but I don't know if they're set up to accept a publication that you can't buy digital-only.
