Is there any way this is legit? What do we think the seller is asking for the whole bunch? What would an auction company pay?

I have no idea on the duetto, but in the rest I see maybe 20-30k.

Interesting because they are all cars right up our alley, and some could be valueable models, but they all need work.

I don't think I know that person, but I'm not sure. If he is really located in LaSalle/Peru, there is a good chance my FIL knows who it is, but it sounds like Bloomington.

In any case, posting deleted.

Were there any pictures before the posting got deleted? I live in Bloomington but don't know anyone with that collection. The phone number is definitely the correct area code.

Is that Emanuel’s old RX8 in your profile? And did you used to drive a focus?

In reply to karplus2 :

There were some pics - a nice looking later silver Esprit with the stock wing on back, and a few other cars that I couldn’t really focus on after seeing the Esprit...

Single pic of dark blue X1/9 looked OK on the left side.... Duetto looked OK on the left. Right side of spitfire looked as OK as it could. Esprit was the only other pic.Weird add, did he steal them??

What's sort of weird is that the ad was up for like 11 days before I saw it and posted it here. And then it was deleted in like an hour.

Just a coincidence I'm sure, but still weird.

I figured someone with a collection like that would be taking them to autocrosses, and that we might know one or some of the cars from autox or other driving events.

I’d wager that 90% of all vintage fiats and Alfa’s never see the road let alone the track/parking lot. I think the Mini is the only thing that I’d expect to see at an autocross, and they’re too common to single them out.
