Im on hour 3 and only at 77% lol. I think this old house has lead walls that kill my wifi signal
I downloaded all the updates just fine. It's just the actual game install that seems to have come to a halt.
Bar seems like it's making some progress. 2/3rds way done.
It's just been showing 4 minutes left for 3 hours or something.
Wonder if it's installing all the tracks directly to PS3 like i never did on GT5. I just it do its thing while i watched movies on TV for awhile, so i don't know what it defaults to if you leave it alone.
I also forgot to mention that we have a time trial series as well. A track and a stock car with a spec tire and an oil change are chosen on a weekly basis. You compete on your own time and then post up your times. Here is a link to thus weeks event.

Got a couple hours in last night. Super lame that they make you buy a Fit.
Coffee Break challenges are dumb.
Cars sound better and i have an NB Miata with an enormous wing.
Physics seem better than GT5. Much more slidey. Gonna try to finish the licenses today so i can actually play online.
Ya the lead in to the game is a bit slow.
Once you get going on line the seasonal are where the money is. Also do them after you build up a five day log on bonus and you get %200 cash.
For those that are thinking of joining us now is a grew time to. We will not be starting a new season for at least two weeks so it gives you plenty of time to get some seat time in and you can build up some cash to play with.
Tonight I will be on about 8:00 testing and what not. Anyone wanting to drop in should send me a friend request before that. I will look at friend requests be for I open a room.
Ohya tonight is at one of the logest tracks in the game so we will only be doing a single lap and the racing will not be,as close as usual. Once we complete the race we will be doing some testing and just general messing around.
I figured this would be a good place to share this. This is a video from last weeks Wednesday race.
The basic setup is. Spool (the following car) has been kicking everyones butt the entire season (I think he has won almost every race he's entered). Comp is in front, he does well, but does not win often. Spool has run up through the pack to this point.
This is the second race of two races, this one with an inverse start. This is the last lap at the Matterhorn track (a fictitious and a bit silly track that is pretty narrow and has some extreme features):
Things to note:
The cars are twitchy, but you can see the desperation in both of them, Spool trying to catch up and pass on a track that it is super difficult to pass on, and Comp maybe getting a bit intimidated.
Spool clearly has an extreme ability to recover from slides. This I think is a result of (other then talent) having his wheel set to 180 deg and likely little feed back.
There is a point where Spool cannot brake and dives under Comp in a turn. This is not allowed in the series (clearly it's not on purpose here) and Spool does exactly what the rules call for, allow the other driver into the next turn first.
I have been waiting for a new season to begin so I could join. dean1484 I am sending you a friend request (keith_g8). Does anyone know what cars we will be testing tonight?
In reply to Keith_Goodrich:
We will be running the Supra and the MR2 tonight at sierra. After the races we will be doing some testing, I don't know which cars, maybe dean will stop in first and let us know. Feel free to stop in even if you don't have the cars, you can always ride along with someone and get a better feel for how the races typically go.
In reply to aircooled:
I was more than intimidated, I was running for my life The closer spool got the more I overdrove the car, kept getting on the gas way too early. Those cars are beasts.
Tonight is the final race for the MR2's and Supras. See the first page of the series thread in Simulation central for details.
Even if you don't plan on racing, show up before start time and mess around. We are using the Huge Sierra track, so it will be a bit unusual tonight.
Next Sunday we start a week of testing for next Season, so this is a good time to get in. Start accumulating credits, some cars can be pricey. If we have a number do new guys we will try and keep the car cost down.
I'm so glad new people are getting on board with this
Yeah Swank, you have to pass one of the licenses to get online, I don't remember which one but you do not have to do them all.
Tried for half an hour to connect but ended up just watching. Will join in next time. And I need to get a mic.
I also didnt get it unlocked in time to even spectate. Ill be keeping an eye on threads in the sim forum so i know what series you guys plan to run next.
You'll need to log in to post.
