Hey guys, how would you like to help out your favorite magazine?
We're putting together the pieces for an upcoming story, and we're hoping to gather one of each of the following cars for photography and driving impressions on February 21. That's Monday, President's day.
We've already got a few of these potentially lined up, but we like to have fall-backs just in case. If you've got a STOCK or NEARLY STOCK example of any of the cars listed below and you'd be able to join us for most of the day on February 21, in central Florida, please drop me an email at scott@grassrootsmotorsports.com
1997-2002 BMW Z3
2000-2003 Porsche Boxster or Boxster S
2000-2005 Honda S2000
2000-2005 Audi TT convertible
2006-2008 Mazda MX-5
Please include a photo of the car in the email, and the basic info on the vehicle. Thanks!
I have access to a completely stock 2001 3.0 Z3 (Dark green with Tan top/interior). paying for transport down?
hell any of those cars from the ohio ish area i would drive down
I am looking at a 2000 Boxster here at work. It's yellow, bone stock. 101,000 miles.
Maybe I can convince the boss man to let me drive it down for the weekend.
I would drive any of those cars down to sunny florida for free.
It would cost you money for me to drive them back.
Heh, afraid there's no compensation or transportation, so we tend to work with local cars. I had about 15 CRXes in California eager to be in our last comparison against the CR-Z--oddly, none of them were actually willing to make the trip for a half a day in Florida :)
When you need a ratty N/A 944 let me know.
lol...Figured I would try.. I could use a vacation
Lemme know if you need a stock CRX again.
I don't have any of those but I can't wait to read the article!

Sounds like a C-stock/STR-ish comparo, can't wait to read it!
If you ever need a Studebaker, I could possibly help. Until then...nice list.

Yea, if you want to do a comparison of some other orphan cars I can supply a Plymouth. I know there's a couple Pontiacs on the board. Maybe an Olds or two as well.

My wife has a 06 MX5 with sport suspension I'd be happy to bring up but I can't do it on that day. I have to take my mother-in-law to a hospital in Miami for some tests that she scheduled 2 months ago.
I have the Stock Kia Rondo that so obviously should be on the list.
Let me know when you want a stock (except for suspension rebuild) turbo brick.

That's what I was thinking. Where's the Solstice though?
I dragged a car from Colorado to Texas for a GRM comparison. It was awesome I wonder if the article turned out the way the GRM guys were originally expecting?
The only one we're having trouble pinning down is the Audi TT convertible. If you or someone you know knows someone who knows a friend in central Florida who has an Audi TT convertible, please have them drop me a line at scott@grassrootsmotorsports.com
