Well I'm probably right in your target audience then and this project is very relevant to my interests, so looks like you guys are on point! Very similar thought process to how I chose my RX7 and what I plan to do with it going forward, so I'll definitely be following along. It's just neat watching a build come together and not having to wait weeks between updates.
How to fix bad clear coat on one bit of the car: add a stripe. You get a few extra horsepower too.

This is fun to watch.
I'm mostly just happy that the VQ exhaust note doesn't have to be heard any more.
I seem to be the only one that likes the VQ engine noise. Especially the variant in the GT-R.
I like it too. I was looking for a 240z to swap a VQ35 into about 6 or so years ago before prices for them went bananas.

Yes, LOJ Conversions makes a kit for the Xterra....
I thought you were joking... Now I have bad ideas. And 6spd frontier that is already in the driveway.
I didn't need to know this either. Wife refuses to give up the X-Terra so I've been joking about re-powering it when it bites the dust. I wonder how the 4WD system would hold up?

.... I think a 350Z is a much, much cooler car than a C5. Plus the suspension is pretty darn good, too. It's also three inches narrower and 10 inches shorter than a C5.
And that right there is all the reason or logic I need.

And 300 lbs heavier, which may be the more relevant metric. Longer, lower, wider, and lighter isn't exactly a knock on the Z06.
Still on target for 3 days?

Still on track. No major delays.
Nice progress. It's great being able to allocate time, having the tools, and foremost, the ambition.
There's a turbo LS hardbody pickup on YouTube named "Liam Nissan".
It would be a fitting name for this car too.

Cool story. I am in for more details. Thanks for keeping us posted as you go.
And we'll be live on our Facebook Page at 3pm ET today to show off the car and answer all of your LS swap questions.

A play on the name Les Nessman would give it that sleeper effect. LeS Nissan.

I like it, it's a cool project and may make a lot of sense to a wide variety of people.
This makes me want to search high and low for another slicktop Z32, then spend $8k on a kit then another $3k on a motor.
Mmmm...
We have three pedals now.
Hannnnnng on, that looks like an ethanol sensor.

And using those one time clamps on it, eh?
Looking good guys. It was fun hanging out over the weekend! Can't wait to see the LSZ vs C5 shootout.

I trust those at least as much as a regular worm gear clamp. Not saying it'd be my first choice as there are nicer styles of adjustable clamp that i can manually not-overtighten, but this style certainly has some advantages.
