Anyone traveling in a way that a GRM relay could happen here?
I'm interested in buying a Miata Roll Bar from AnthonyGS in Dallas, TX. I'm in Wayesboro, PA and work down in Frederick, MD.
I'm sure I can find one closer, so I don't want to put anyone too far out of the way, but figured I'd check anyway.

I'm going to be in Denton racing in about 10 days, and will be at Patrick's house south of Cleveland after that. Fitting a roll bar in for all of the legs of the journey would be an interesting game of Tetris, but not impossible.

Let's just say if we are going to GRM relay this thing, I can drop the price and buy Seth lunch or a snack or whatever. It'd be interesting to meet him and swap car stories. He can see the rallycross Subaru and my other junk too.
What racing is in Denton? Aren't you going to be out in Decatur? Isn't that Eagles Canyon raceway? I guess Denton is also on 380. I guess there is a 1/8th mile track in Denton too. My rallycross friends are in Denton, and I'm right off US 75 and George Bush (a few miles from there). I also can put the rollbar in the truck and meet anywhere in the greater DFW area.
I'd even be willing to wait payment until this thing gets there.

That's actually a great question. Someone would probably have to get it down to the ranch. I can ask him if he's going, but can't help with any of the rest.
As for my adventures, I'm going to be racing motorcycles at North Texas Karters. Endurance race from 4-8:00 on Saturday and sprints starting at about 11:00 on Sunday. The schedule will keep me at the track for essentially my whole time there unfortunately, but who doesn't want to watch grown men ride childrens motorcycles around a kart track? 
I just checked the entry list and it doesn't appear so.

I literally just walked back upstairs from starting to pack the Fit to see this post on the forum...
unfortunately... I don't have a ton of options because of how i have the car packed.. but I'm willing to try regardless..
How wide and tall is this bar? I'm not opposed to dragging it up to Chicago and then working with someone from the Gridlife community to get it further east over the coming weeks.
what's really annoying is i just repacked the car to get my CG lower and have the backset up to hold more things firmly in place...
but i think everything laid flat is really my best option to make this happen

49" side to side, 32" top to bottom and about 21" deep, but the sides are kind of a 32" tall by 21" triangle. You could use the pythagorean theorem to calculate the 3rd leg.

Hey, I just realized that I never verified if the roll bar works with a hard top... Kinda important for Rallycross. Any idea?

Looks like the same bar I have in mine with a hard top. No room for the side latches but it still fits and I never had the side latches to begin with.

I'm driving from San Antonio to Virginia at the end of June and will be finishing the trip in DC for 4th of July weekend. I'll be taking the whole family in my Expedition so I "should" have space. That is if you don't get it by then.

I will take some photos tonight. It sounds like I'm going to get to help see if this thing will fit in a Fit, so that should be fun. If it doesn't fit in the Fit, you'll likely get your chance at it. I'm hoping that AWSX1686 and I don't throw a bit fit, trying to fit the rollbar in the Fit.

Edit, I did some more digging and it does seem like it should work with a hard top. I'm willing to go for it.

My first Miata had a hard top and the original Hard Dog 4 pt bar. It worked awesome. This one works too, or I'd have never bought it. Not that I have a hardtop anymore...... I sure wish I did. But heck in a few weeks I won't have a Miata anymore. I guess I'm looking for the rare Boxster hardtop now.

If not, Yupididit's offer to bring it to DC gets it plenty close to me. I can drive down to DC/VA easily.
I want to bring as many things as I can with me.. and with 2 sets of track wheels, my track stuff storage box, and the clothes I'm going to need.. it's all a tight fit.. BUT... I think I have it..
I fished this bike rack out of the empty dumpster at my apartment last summer... it's been sitting in my closet ever since...
Now it's getting pressed into service on this trip.. It's rated for 70lbs.. and the pair of wheels with mounted tires are right on that.. i may only do 1 wheel on it.. but it can hold 2..
I can get the bar to Chicago.. I'm trying to see if my buddy from Pittsburg is coming to any of the gridlife events I'll be at in the next 6 weeks.
But I have a plan!

Sounds like we have it figured out.
SpaceCadet will get it from AnthonyGS and bring it along on his GridLife adventures.
His friend Nick will be at an event in June to bring it back home to Pittsburgh area, which is close enough I can go pick it up myself from there.
