It was very loungey. Seriously, even with the automatic, the car wasn't horrible at altitude. We did get it filthy, though.

Just read a few minutes ago in an online magazine that Fiat is considering using the 500 platform as the basis for a small CUV. Do you suppose they heard about this high altitude trip?

Nah, they were already building a replacement for the Fiat Panda anyway. The marketing stooges decided to capitalize on the 500's good worldwide sales and name the Panda replacement the 500L. It's just a name game.
