As a part of our 25th anniversary celebration, we'll have our list of the top 25 cars from the last 25 years....that's scheduled for later in 2009.
That's 2.5 times better than a Top 10 list.

Cool. I inherited a lot of back issues a little bit ago and just read the top 20 cars and the last 20 years from about 5 years ago. Looking forward to the article.
A 944 easy to work on?!?!?!?!!!! Compared to what, a flying saucer?!?!? Come on Jay! 944's and 928's are anything but cheap and easy to live with unless you drop in an American V8.

You know, if you keep telling everyone then I won't surprise anyone at the $2009 challenge.
There's a pretty little blue Miata with a home-made racing stripe on the left side of the page right now! (wink wink)
Top 10 should definitely include the following (not in order):
Miata
Subaru Impreza
Older Vettes (C4 and C5 come to mind)
BMW 335i / 135i (really)
Every Mustang ever built
Civic
Saturn (all of them - even the wagons!)

certainly not the most popular, so i dont think they make the top ten.. but id agree that its a great bang for the buck. especially the early 2.0 924's.. very easy work on, dial in, buy and upgrade on the cheap (within limits, you wont get a 10 second 924 on the cheap without a motor swap.) but im also a bit biased..
the 944's arent all that bad to work on either, t-belt and balancer belts are a pita, requiring special tools, but the rest isnt nearly as bad as most people think, just require some home work , much easier than a later model mitsu imo..
928's are whole different ball park, more fun, but you pay for it in high priced parts, and a whole bunch more headaches.
