They are decent luxury boats. I was not really blown away until I drove a 2001 740i Sport. That was, and still is, an impressive car to me at least.

I've said it before and I will say it again. My e32 7 series was the fastest BMW in AUTOX (and drags, I think) at the 2015 challenge. supercharged e30, auto e36 m3, e46 all in attendance.
BMW puts the best engineers on the 7. Kinda goes back to the old adage, if it feels fast, it probably isn't.
Does the 7 feel light and twitchy? no, it doesn't. but once it sets, it TURNS.

No, no build thread yet. It's my DD, so I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do to it. I'd LOVE to strip the interior and put a full cage, because wagon. But I think it'll be a mild build just so I can do another challenge.

I drove an 01 iL Sport that was a nice luxury yacht, but still many steps ahead of American boat offerings. I am in a lowered 96 Impala SS with Delrin bushings and Bilsteins that I think handles pretty well. The iL Sport did just as well or better in the twisties and did it without ever letting me know it hit a bump.
I've got my E36 for sporty driving. I just want utility with good power in an automatic, like squeeze the throttle and have plenty of passing power. I'm still slowly looking around. No rush since I have the X5 still and it does well in the snow.
