I bought a one owner Miata, did a bunch of work on it, drove it fast in the snow at Lime Rock and then it became my bad weather beater for most of the year.
Changed my first Miata timing belt (but not my first timing belt).
Drove a brand new Camry for a week while the dealer put a brand new frame under my truck.
I had a conversation with Skip Barber, while standing under a real 1973 911 Carrera RS that was on a lift.
Saw Sterling Moss and Sam Posey at Lime Rock.
Got up close to see and photograph hundreds of amazing cars including, Porsches, Cunninghams, Bugattis, Ferraris, Singer, Miuras, Siatas, Maseratis, Lotuses, Bentleys, Marches, Lolas, Chevrons, Aston Martins, Alpines, Lancias, Turners, Jaguars, Morgans and many, many more. Note that all but the Singer were pluralized.
Had knee surgery.
Sold the Miata.
Sold my Sportster.
Bought my first BMW. Learned all about Guibos and DISAs.
Reexamined the concept of project cars.
Started thinking about buying a sports car with two pedals.
Resisted the urge to turn a really, really nice car into an ice racer.
Bought some real tool boxes and reorganized the garage.
Took a few cool, spur of the moment road trips.
