I'm having a rather frustrating issue with my truck, it is intermittently not starting. It started a couple of weeks ago after we had a few days where it went from 90's in the days to 30's at night. I would get in the truck in the morning and try to fire it up and all I get is "click" just like with a dead battery. If I tried a couple times it would start and would be fine for awhile then do the same again on another attempt to start. Once running it runs perfectly fine.
I initially thought it was my battery and had that swapped out under warranty. It was then fine for about a week then started doing it again. I started eliminating circuits by removing fuses and seeing if there was a difference. I removed the one for the stereo and it seemed to be a bit better, I had problems with the stock stereo and read about problems with them so I swapped it out. The truck was then fine again for about 2 days, it has started doing the same thing again however much worse now. It will sometimes start just fine I could turn the truck on and off with no problems and others it just won't start. Every now and then you will hear the engine start to turn but no joy and others it fires right up.
I have checked the battery connections and they are tight and clean to the battery. It will not start with a jump either. Once started the truck runs like a top and has no issues at all. Any ideas what is happening here? This is really killing me considering its my only transportation and my college term starts in about 3 weeks and I will need my truck.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
