I may not have owned many Mazdas (only one) but I've done a good bit with mine in the 6 years I've owned it. In my region was runner-up in Novice my first year, won C/SP two years in a row, won SSM two years in a row, won the Iron Man award twice (show up to every event, take every run) and got a Top 10 overall season finish this year. Also was on two different YouTube channel for 4 total episodes for a total of like an hour of internet fame.

I just got another raise.....  It's like the world is telling me to get an ND but I'd have to sell my Boxster to make room.

How much for the boxster? After 9 miatas, I rather have a boxster

Learned to drive (and drive stick) on a mid/late 80s light blue Mazda 323. Drove the hell out of it: first flat tire, first overheating and first and only time I blew a rear strut off the tower mount.

Always loved the RX7s and owned a 2004 RX8 that I campaigned in BS autox for two years. Easily one of the best handling cars I'll ever drive. First car I ever completely spun on summer tires in a surprise snow storm. The pure joy of revving to 8000+ rpm on on ramps. Owned it for three years, put 24k miles on it and traded it in for 2.5k less than I paid for it.

Haven't had a Mazda in the family for quite some time but would definitely consider a Miata. The used market is so crazy strong though that I'll likely never take the leap.

I have had an RX-3 SP, a B2000 truck, a 626, and two fantastic MX6s. I've driven plenty of Miatas but somehow never owned one. Congratulations to Mazda for reaching this anniversary and striving every day to build the Zoom-Zoom into every model.

One hundred years ago today, everybody's favorite little car manufacturer was founded. Happy birthday, Mazda, and thanks for all the wonderful cars you've built, and for giving me this great little roadster.

That is a beautiful Miata.

I still have a FC RX7 and a NC Miata.  My GF and daughter in law both have  CX5s mostly due to me. Thanks Mazda for building the cars we all like and Happy Birthday.

We've had 8 Miatas (3 NA, 2 NB, 3 NC), a 3, and my first Mazda, a '92 MX3 GS. Don't ever see a time where we wouldn't have at least a couple around.

My first car was a B2200 extended cab. I can second that the shifter felt great.

Thanks. It's not just a pretty face either. It makes 245 horsepower to the rear wheels, so it packs a punch.

Work truck back in the late 90's was a beat to death 92 B2200.  No power or AC but it was a great little truck with an awesome shifter.

When we were living in Hawaii my father bought a brand new 1971 1200 (Familia) wagon. We used to take it to the drive-in. We kids were supposed to be asleep when the grown up move started but I purposely take the middle "bunk" because I could see the movie screen between the front seats. That car was the only Mazda 1200 I've ever seen; the dealership was at the local gas station. The guy had 5 or 6 cars at a time.

So we've had:

71 Familia Wagon

90 Showroom Stock Miata

01 Protege ES

91 Miata

My wife recently commented she liked the new hard top Miata so it's possible we'll have another some day.

My Mazda ownership is far less heroic than most in this thread.

1980 RX-7 (89k to 142k, 1999-2001)

1985 RX-7 (150k to 227k, 2002-2007)

1984 RX-7 (155k to 254k, and counting, 2007-present)

1981 RX-7 (113k, and counting, 2014-present)

1973 RX-3 (I looked at the odometer once...)

I started getting much more life out of them once I stopped driving them in the winter.

Feelsbad that I don't have any good pics of either to post up here, but my current Mazdas I think are pretty cool cars that stand apart in their segments. 2007 Mazdaspeed6, 1988 626GT Turbo/5spd Hatch.

And of course I had a Miata.

Had a kl25/5spd Mx6 that I never fixed and drove and I kinda regret that! Now you can't find a nice one at all.

Happy Birthday Mazda.
