My brother has a 2007 Focus that seems to crank longer than normal to start. The battery is good and it cranks as fast as it used to it just doesn't fire until about 20-30 seconds of cranking. Once started it runs fine. So far he changed the fuel filter with no luck. Any ideas what to check next?

Yeah, cold or warm? Could be coolant temp. sensor, dirty injectors, etc.

Check the coolant and intake air temperature sensors. Also it may not be holding fuel pressure.

I've also had an Issue with the Idle Air Control valve on my Aurora (I think i've had every electrical issue on this thing). It had gotten gummed up and didn't have full movement
