So far I am really liking this.

Just did. Let's just say they cut a bunch out to make it run two hours. Which is fine. I didn't expect it to be 100% accurate. Eddie's story didn't have the timeline or location right, which is what made me check.
I mean, if you're watching the Discovery channel for facts......
It's still an entertaining series and I will watch the rest.

Yeah, Eddie's crash killed six other people that day, and and a seventh a few days later.
I really enjoyed it. It really captured the time I history well. There were some slow parts where my finger started to hover over the remote. I liked the engineering side of it.
The characters were ok. The plot in one or to places is a bit to predictable due to the directors looking for some drama that was not really necessary.
But all in all very well done.
They really got the period looking motorcycles done well. I saw on one of the promo spots that they hand built replica's for all the bikes used in the movie. It would be great to get one of those and ride it.
I forgot to watch it last night, but I am recording the whole series. Good to hear the feedback from it though.
I really enjoyed the show and looked past a bit of the unnecessary drama. I was very pleased to see some technical engineering discussion in the show and look forward to more. I found myself thinking about the concept of "state of the art" and what 50 years of engineering development can do, and then another 50 years on top of that. Then apply that realization to what may come in the next 50 years. I'm an attorney, not an engineer (although I sometimes think I would have enjoyed an engineering career) and I don't know motorcycles, but I dig the mechanical technology race they were in for what now seems like a simple machine.
The period costume, architecture, it cetera is well done I would really like to see you documentary on the building of the replicas that are also extremely well done and I'm enjoying the history of the fledgling motorcycle motorcycle industry. But the drama is annoying and the acting is subpar. Oh well. I guess I'm enjoying it for what it is
I'm enjoying it with my family, which is interesting because they aren't motorheads. One thing that I'm not digging is the constant Indian (motorcycle) bashing. I get that Harley Davidson is largely bankrolling this thing, but it seems very uncool to frequently take jabs at a company that's an important competitor in the present tense (I know that Indian Motorcycles was out of business for many years, but the fact remains that they are a vital company at this time).
I tried to watch it, but it wouldn't start. It's okay, though, I bought a t-shirt with the show name on it and I can still wear it to the bar.
ok, sorry. Had to.

The show comes on at 8. I record it and start watching a half-hour or so later. FF makes pretty short work of the commercials.
Great set/costume/mechanical design. It's fun just to look at.

Not sure about how to record one of the earlier ones. Discovery might re-air them later, but might not to encourage people to buy the "series". You could probably watch it online or through your cable providers on demand offerings.

Discovery is airing all three episodes tonight, 9/7. Episode one starts at 5 PM EST, ep two at seven and finale at 9.
I love the show for all the old motorcycles. Makes me long for a time when things were so exciting and new that a bike with 3 hp and no suspension was considered cutting edge. And of course now I need one. I know there are some manufacturers that make these bikes but how hard could it be to make my own? I have an old chinese 4 wheeler for the engine and tranny, an old mountain bike that I could modify. I think a build session is going to start this weekend.
