As the topic says; has anyone done a track day/HPDE with the new Bridgestone RE71Rs? How did it go? I'm looking for a 200TW tire to use for autocross and the track and I think this might be it, but I'm worried that the 20 minute sessions might ruin the tire.
I haven't - but I was just talking to a friend at Tire Rack. He says that the 3rd place team in the One Lap (RS Motors with a Mitsubishi) ran them and was very happy.
Thanks Keith. I doubt that I drive my Miata as hard as that team drives their car at one lap, so that is a promising data point.
