In reply to NOT A TA :
You do realize that GRM fired the current web developers once already. I remember Margorie lamenting about the big check she cut them a while back.
I am wondering how long they last this time.

Just for grins, I am going to post the same image from my Win 10 PC using the latest Firefox and my cell running Android 10 and the latest version Firefox. Just dumped the cache on both.
This is from the PC. Will post this and edit from the second pic from the phone.
and from the phone
I saw the distortion thing happening when posting from my phone earlier. Not happening now. The only thing I changed was clearing the cache on my browsers.
Cleared the cache on my phone and I am still seeing squinched images. I haven't tried posting one yet but that was working before.
We'll get the devs on these bugs in the morning, everybody!
And the correlation we're seeing is that whoever is posting the images needs to clear their cache, not whoever is viewing them. That seems to fix it.
By the way, the picture bugs disappear on my phone if I switch to desktop site. It may simply be that the photos on desktop control the page width and the photos on the mobile are locked in height and width.
Yeah, I cleared cache and it seemed to fix the image issue here. But I lost a LOT of E36 M3 when I did that. Now I have to restore as best I can.
In reply to Gary :
Clearing the cache on your browser should not make you loose anything. What did you do to clear your cache?
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I don't seem to be getting notifications on watched topics.
What is going on with that Daewoo thread?! Looks like the last post was in 2010, but it's been bumped? Except you can't see a recent post when you click in.
In reply to CyberEric :
Mods deleted the canoe before anyone else posted on it. A whole bunch landed in zombie threads in the last day. That is unrelated to the problems occurring for almost everyone with the site "upgrades".
Had an issue last night on my mobile (iPhone X using Safari). I could not post ('Your comment' block grayed out) and I could not log out of the site. Restarted my phone and continued to have the issue.
This sort of thing is my day job, so not a complaint, but I wanted to point it out.
In reply to Tom Suddard :
Yes.
Not a single notification since the software change. I do still get all the sales emails, however...
Edit: double checked my email and preferences on my profile... should be getting notifications.
In reply to Rodan :
That's odd, notifications have been working for me. And are, just got another one.
Today for the first time I have seen distorted photos. Specifically the Nova thread posted by Curtis (I think)
Nope, posted by Wally....
I am also not getting watch list notifications. Not one since the change over, nothing in the junk folder.
Not sure if this is the best place to post, but it's a problem I had on the GRM website (not the forum):
I wanted to check renewal prices. from the main page I clicked on subscriber services, then logged in, then "Your Subscription."
Then, when I click on "Renew or Extend" I get
"Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site."
Seems like a feature you care about. ;-) I hope this helps.
You'll need to log in to post.
