How to make a Gridlife event even more exciting? How does the chance to have your cool car or rad story featured in Grassroots Motorsports in print or on the web?
Our 2017 Volkswagen Golf GTI project car–as well as our own Director of Marketing & Events, Tom Suddard, and Associate Editor, Chris Tropea–will be at this weekend’s Gridlife event at …

this weekend?
I thought I had a week and a half until GridLife @CMP!?
In reply to sleepyhead the buffalo :
We must have been so excited that we were ready to head out this weekend .
Don't worry, you have until March 31-April 2.
I hate that I'm going to miss it. My plan was to bring the Bentley but other things have to happen instead.

I'll be there, hopefully with aero on the car - I roughed up the lower wing mounts last night. I really need to get on the splitter.
In reply to sleepyhead the buffalo :
What're you driving? Might try and drop by and say hello.
Hey, it's this weekend now
In reply to J.A. Ackley :
Now if they'd only let us in
Super stoked to see everybody! Chris and I are rolling in first thing Saturday morning to set up camp.

Not driving, mostly crewing. I'll make sure to drop by at some point.
The GTI is loaded and Tom and I are on the way to CMP!
In reply to sleepyhead the buffalo :
You'll be pleased to know we did get the tent together eventually ;)
Greetings from the paddock at Gridlife CMP! We've got plenty of GRM stickers if anybody needs one!
In reply to accordionfolder :
!yay!
probably a good thing y'all figured it out what with the winds that came through on Saturday!
I haven't really talked about it much on here, but I've spent a fair amount of my time over the last couple years providing aero/data/crew assistance to the "Robertson Racing" miata (who's the sometimes GRM poster "apexanimal") that's been running GLTC.
that's a fairly consuming role, so I only managed to get a few "keeper" snaps on the big camera. As you can expect, they're primarily GLTC:
I think I have a few other snaps from my phone I'll sort through, and see if they're worth posting

Robertson drove a master-class in the rain
Is there a GRM event calendar? I could've made it if I knew about it.

It's tough for us to plan a full year out, but we did announce we were headed to Gridlife two weeks ago (that's when this item went live). Sorry about that!

unfortunately, in the scrum/excitement to be ready for the race, I missed making sure the "spot metering" was set on the GoPro for Scott. I might have to see if I can dig up any way to save the footage so you can see out the windshield.
The supra made an OK tow-truck as well, I'm hoping someone got a better picture of us - he waited on a tow for an hour and I was like ... I have a strap?
looks like 7 pictures are useable from the phone.
driftyboi corolla(?) with mustang wheels? figured someone here would appreciate that combo?
neat night sky over the Robertson Racing hauler:
moose rocking 850 Pace Car:
and some of the show cars that I found during the Saturday night dinner run...
and a final shot from Sunday Morning's "TA Last Dash" session:
